I am a fanatic about scuba diving. I have traveled the world searching for the best opportunities and have recently found one that suited my needs. My journey began on a boat, which I learned about from a website online. My perspective of the food, diving experience and the service will be described below.
Food
I must say that I definitely enjoyed the meals served on the boat. The chefs really did their thing. I am a meat lover and had the best tasting chicken and fish. There were trips that I have taken where the food was not all that great. However, this service surprised me. The fruit was constantly fresh and the coffee was hot. There was even a bar on the upperdeck. The drinks were not included in the price, but that did not matter. It is an interesting experience to be out in the middle of the ocean with a bar.
Diving
I am definitely no stranger to diving, however I still managed to learn something new on this trip. The crew was very knowledgeable of the routes and they briefed us thoughrouly to ensure our safety. The dives were guided and the instructors were PADI certified. We were given up to 3 dives per day and able to rent the equipment. At $20 per day for a BCD & regulator and $300 per week for a complete gear set, I could say that the prices were fairly reasonable.
Service
Maldives Dive Travel was worth every penny. The Maldives were utterly amazing and amenities were excellent. I had internet access, fishing gear and was able to visit the islands. There was even a beach barbeque that resembled the one I went to in Thailand.
